There is something truly amazing when we talk to our couples about how they came together. For Amanda and Hunter, they started dating at the beginning of the pandemic! This is absolutely not ideal. However, Amanda and Hunter found creative ways to pursue one another and build their relationship during a trying time! Amanda and Hunter told us how their relationship budded over walks in public parks and plenty of meals over takeout!

Something that really struck us was how vulnerable Amanda and Hunter were with each other from the start. Amanda told us that on their second date they went to Target (a perfect date, really) and all of the Valentine’s Day goodies were on sale. As a perennial volunteer with Operation Christmas Child, Amanda spends all year collecting goodies to wrap and send to children all over the world. She couldn’t miss this deal! She told Hunter that she needed a cart, and proceeded to spend the rest of their date filling him in on a cause that’s truly close to her heart (while emptying Target of their deals). Hunter later proposed to Amanda at the wrapping party for Operation Christmas Child!

It was such a joy to meet you guys and capture this special time in your lives! You guys have a truly unique and remarkable story. It’s like a real-life Hallmark Christmas Movie! We’re so excited for this (admittedly brief) period of engagement for you two. We’re sure that a marriage of two people so solidly built on the same foundation is bound to weather life’s difficulties! Best of luck with wedding planning, and especially venue tours later this month!
