The last time we saw Lauren and Ben, they were wearing their graduation caps and gowns. A little over a year ago, we captured their grad session just a few days before they finished up their undergrad at UVA. Although it wasn’t the end of school for either of them (or the end of college football for Ben), we assumed that like most of our grads, it would be the last time we saw them. But after Ben’s proposal in front of Disney Castle popped up on my Instagram feed, we just had to reach out and congratulate them! One thing led to another, and before we knew it, we were scheduling their engagement session.

 

Fast-forward a few months and one pandemic later. Even though they were both quasi-stuck far from home due to the new quarantine rules, Lauren and Ben were still able to pull together two wonderful outfits and even a picnic complete with champagne! Seeing how resourceful they were with their engagement session — and in our conversations about wedding planning — we know they’ll be able to get through anything. They were also as excited as we were to shoot in a totally new location (one of the few still open it seems).

It was so great to see you two again, and this time with that ring on your finger, Lauren! You two are still as fun to be around as you were last year, and we just know that you two are such a great match. Despite all the difficulty with wedding planning right now, we’re glad you two seem to appreciate that all of this is making you stronger as a couple, and will make your wedding day that much sweeter. We hope you won’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything we can do for you two in the meantime!
