Hi, we're Hunter and Sarah, a husband-and-wife, luxury wedding photography team. We’re also educators, helping other photographers build profitable and sustainable photography businesses.
As we drove through the pouring rain toward Swannanoa Palace, we were getting more and more nervous each moment. We knew that there was a strong possibility for rain the afternoon of Fay and Joe’s engagement session, but Fay and Joe had decided to take a chance and go for it anyway. As we hit the interstate, a thunderstorm hit that had such heavy, pounding rain that cars were pulling over on the interstate. We were worried! But in the end, Fay and Joe made the right call with the rain! Despite thunder pounding in the distance, once we arrived at Swannanoa, there were only a few drops of rain for the entire session. The sun even made an appearance at the end!
After dating off-and-on for years (and we mean years; they dated for the first time in middle school!), and after all the challenges and discoveries from their relationship, we could not have asked for a better way to get to know Fay and Joe. Fay commented that being with Joe was easy and natural. She told us how she didn’t want to spend her life with anyone else! And watching them practice their first dance together in the empty fountain was a perfect look into just how in-sync they are with each other! We can’t wait to see their guests reactions in January!
We are SO glad that we could get together for your session! Meeting you guys in person was a treat, and we’re glad it wasn’t delayed by nasty weather. We can’t wait to see you two again (and your final dance routine) in January!
With love,
Sarah + Hunter
