Hi, we're Hunter and Sarah, a husband-and-wife, luxury wedding photography team. We’re also educators, helping other photographers build profitable and sustainable photography businesses.
During their engagement session, Tara and Andrew told us about how they had booked Barboursville Vineyards specifically for the Jeffersonian Ruins. In the days leading up to their wedding, despite the forecast calling for heavy rain all day long, they had faith that the rain would hold off long enough for them to be married in front of the ruins. They were ~mostly~ right ???? While it did end up sprinkling on and off all morning, and even began to drizzle as they exchanged vows, these two were up for absolutely ANYTHING, so long as they got to exchange their personalized vows in front of these ruins!
We’re so glad that they took the risk and planned for it all to happen at the ruins! These two had a truly unique wedding experience in so many ways. They even did something that we had never seen before: while they were digging up their bourbon (a southern tradition meant to bring good weather on a wedding day), Andrew took the cork clean off of the bottle! We don’t mean that he smashed the bottle while digging, or that he took the bottle out of the ground and then took the top off. Somehow, with his shovel, he uncorked the bottle as they were excavating it!
We are so honored to have captured this incredible day! We hope that these photos are a blessing to you two, and that you guys have a wonderful graduation this Saturday! Try to enjoy your mini-moon as best as you can, and we hope that one day, after you’ve both passed the bar and are crushing it as lawyers, you’ll get to take the big honeymoon you’ve been dreaming of!
With love,
Sarah + Hunter
