The effortless sophistication of the design was combined with a nod to Virginia’s natural beauty. As they stepped off the shuttle, guests were welcomed by sweeping views of rolling hills and centuries-old trees. Oh, and by rows of waitstaff holding chilled cider at the ready! Sarah and David were temporary citizens of Charlottesville, while David attended UVA’s Darden School of Business. So this display of Charlottesville’s best was exactly what they wanted to share with their guests, many of whom were from Chicago! Their reception design mirrored that refined taste — white lace linens accented with a delicate palate of peaches and green. Each element spoke to their story: elegant, warm, and deeply personal.

Castle Hill Cider was the perfect backdrop for Sarah and David’s summer solstice wedding. 

But something that outshone all of their incredible details was how Sarah and David looked at each other. As we captured each aspect of their wedding, our lenses were flooded with the love these two have for each other. Throughout their day the joy they felt radiated from them! And their chemistry was so natural. One of our favorite moments was during their golden hour bourbon toast. Sarah paused just before her and David brought a double-shot of whiskey to their lips. “We’re shooting this… right?” David laughed, “NO!” Then we all laughed. It was just one of those random, funny moments that brought a smile to our faces — one of many that day!
