Anjali and Mitch are the bomb. Anjali is one of the most kind and loving people I know, was a bridesmaid in our wedding, and was even there at Pen Park the day that Hunter proposed to me, lying prone in the grass with Hunter’s telephoto lens to photograph our proposal. Anjali has been a dear friend of ours for years, and her new fiancé Mitch is exactly the kind of person we knew she’d find one day: caring, wise and as goofy as her! So, it was only appropriate when more than two years later, we returned to this local Charlottesville park to celebrate her and Mitch’s engagement!

 

It’s for these reasons (and so many others) that Hunter and I were overjoyed when they initially reached out to us about knocking out their engagement session while they were (very briefly) in town on a wedding-planning mini-vacation. As graduate students in Dallas, we imagine that it isn’t very easy for them to plan a Charlottesville wedding from 1,200 miles away amidst their busy semesters of studying and working. So when we found out we’d have the opportunity to serve them just after sunrise one morning, we knew it would be a treat for us all.

We are beyond excited that you two have found each other! Hunter and I honestly didn’t even feel like we were on a session during our time together last week. You two had so much fun and snuggled up on each other so naturally that we felt like we didn’t even have to direct. However, that doesn’t mean we weren’t even more excited when you so kindly invited us to try out some new posing ideas and practice new shooting techniques with you two (even though Mitch confused us all by calling you two “gerbils” instead of “guinea pigs”). I cannot wait to stand next to you on your wedding day this July!
