Sunset Engagement Photoshoot at Greencroft Club in Crozet

Mark and Liz absolutely crushed their sunset engagement session. When we first met with them, they did something that isn’t at all uncommon for a lot of couples: they expressed some reservations about being in front of the camera. As a lot of first-time subjects are, they were afraid they’d be awkward or uncomfortable during their portrait session. But as we told them was very likely to happen, as the sun started to set around Greencroft Club and they found their groove in front of our cameras, they laughed and danced and posed in a way that made us ask if they had been in a professional photography session before! They almost immediately fell into step with their session, and were naturals in front of our cameras.
Not only that, but Mark and Liz have a very cool story. When she was a freshman in college, Liz was visiting Virginia Tech with a friend when she bumped into Mark. Though they laughed about their first encounter, they obviously made an impression on each other as they began dating long-distance shortly after – something Sarah and I instantly related to. They made it through undergrad and now, a few years out of college, are continuing to enjoy life in the same town while Mark pursues his PhD at UVA. Who knows what the future holds for them after Mark (fingers crossed!) defends his thesis sometime next year!
