We could NOT believe our eyes. As Amanda and Johnathan walked over to us in their second outfit, we all saw it at the same time. A MASSIVE yellow-striped hot air balloon seemingly raising up out of the ground! It’s so hard to predict where hot air balloons will take off or land, so we knew right away that we were just in the right place at the right time! With a quick “are we doing this?!” we all immediately started power-walking over to where the hot air balloon was taking off!

This stroke of luck was extra funny for Amanda and Johnathan. They told us that when they first started talking, Amanda had told Johnathan how much she likes hot air balloons, and about how she always wanted to go up in one. To have a piece of their dating history work its way into their engagement photos was a serious stroke of luck. Having shot with a hot air balloon only once before, we knew we had to work quickly. And Amanda and Johnathan definitely rose to the challenge!

We had so much fun with you two! You guys were so fun to chat with, and to get to know you two a bit better. We can’t wait to see you guys again in March for an even BIGGER special occasion! And who knows — maybe we’ll get lucky and see some balloons again?! 🎈
