Without fail, in the moments leading up to a surprise proposal, a slight panic that washes over me. What if Austin misses us and proposes in a different row? What if he doesn’t recognize us with our masks on? What if Lindsey notices the cameras hiding in our picnic basket? But as Austin and Lindsey turned the corner at Carter Mountain Apple Orchard, Austin recognized us, and walked right to our prearranged spot! I supposed no amount of masks can hide Hunter’s man bun 😂 Austin had reached out to back us in early October to help plan his proposal to Lindsey, and his preparation yielded the most perfect result! Austin somehow hid the ring box in his sock and pulled it out secret-agent-style to surprise his future bride!

We’ve seen a lot of reactions to surprise proposals over the last 5 years, but Lindsey had the most surprising response of all: she was so overjoyed that she literally jumped into Austin’s arms in a full Koala embrace! Having dated for four years, she knew it was coming… she just didn’t know when. As it turns out, hiding the ring in your sock is a prime hiding spot; Lindsey said she had looked at Austin’s pockets earlier that day to see if she could spot a ring box!
