Hi, we're Hunter and Sarah, a husband-and-wife, luxury wedding photography team. We’re also educators, helping other photographers build profitable and sustainable photography businesses.
When we got out of the car in the parking lot of Sky Meadows State Park in Northern Virginia, Tyler and I almost immediately locked eyes. For a moment, I completely forgot why we were there, and I almost waved at him! It definitely would have been a bit difficult for him to explain to his girlfriend Lizzie why he was waving at that girl who was hiding a camera under her jacket! Thankfully, a split second later I remembered that that would be a total giveaway, and Hunter and I walked right past Lizzie and Tyler. We hiked up the steep hill to find the most incredible view for a proposal. We could see everything for miles!
That also meant that we could see the park police approaching us from a distance, driving uphill to tell us that our tire was completely flat *facepalm* We had an important moment to capture, so our tire would have to wait. As the officer was letting us know, we could see Tyler and Lizzie making their way up the hill! Luckily, the police car got down the hill before Tyler got down on one knee. As Lizzie looked up from her surprise and saw two photographers pointing their cameras at her, we could hear her ask, “do we know these people?” After a laugh and introductions, we whisked them into a handful of quick portraits! Everything went smoothly, including getting help from a very kind park police officer to change our tire!
We loved hearing all about how you two met and came to this milestone in your relationship! Having heard so much about you, Lizzie, we were so excited to finally meet you in person! We hope that these photos will hold a special place in your heart as you two enjoy the season of engagement, and eventually step into wedding planning together!
With love,
Sarah + Hunter
