Wintery Surprise Proposal at Boar’s Head Resort

“So… how do you pretend to make normal conversation?” Since they were in town visiting from Arizona, we brought our brother and future sister-in-law, Tanner and Jess, with us to capture Hannah and Casey’s winter proposal this past week! Our usual disguise (sitting in a field on a picnic) would seem out of place on a brisk 45-degree January day. So we hoped that Tanner and Jess’s dog Milo would distract Hannah from wondering why people were picnicing in a field in the freezing cold! The funny thing was, Tanner and Jess were probably almost as nervous as Casey was for what was about to happen! Even though Casey had prepared for this moment for weeks, and was ready to propose at exactly 3:46 PM, you can only prepare so well for such a moment.
The moment Casey got down on one knee, we jumped into action! During their engagement mini-session that followed, we asked some of the many questions we had. One pressing question was how Casey could possibly know what Hannah was going to wear for the proposal. Casey emailed us earlier that week and told us in detail what Hannah would wear… and it was 100% accurate! Hannah told us that she knew Casey was planning to propose sometime this winter, just not exactly when. So, she told Casey that she would wear that outfit every time they went out from January through March! 😂 Anything goes in quarantine times!
