Hi, we're Hunter and Sarah, a husband-and-wife, luxury wedding photography team. We’re also educators, helping other photographers build profitable and sustainable photography businesses.

Liv and Ian’s timeless Castle Hill wedding was the kind of celebration that feels joyful from the very first moment. Even before the ceremony began, the energy was incredible. Their 20+ person wedding party filled the getting-ready suites with nonstop laughter, music, and excitement. It was a warm June afternoon, but no one seemed to notice the heat because everyone was so happy to be there. Especially Liv and Ian! During their first look, they chose to exchange truly private vows, and asked us to keep a wide distance so they could have a moment that felt entirely their own. Watching them laugh, cry, and simply be together (even from a distance) was one of the sweetest parts of the day.
Their ceremony took place in Castle Hill’s beautiful Linden Grove, and reflected the deep faith that anchors their relationship. A pastor friend traveled down from New York City to officiate, making the ceremony feel even more personal and meaningful. While the wedding party brought so much energy to portraits, but the ceremony itself carried a sense of reverence and gratitude that balanced the day perfectly. Later, when golden hour arrived, Liv and Ian each had specific portraits they were dreaming about. Liv wanted romantic sunset portraits with her veil flowing and the Blue Ridge Mountains behind her. Ian wanted the iconic aerial wide shot of Castle Hill, with he and Liv framed through the upper doorway. Thankfully, because it was their wedding day, no compromise was necessary — we captured both!
Thank you for inviting us into such a meaningful day, and for trusting us even with Sarah still on maternity leave. Your timeless Castle Hill wedding was full of faith, joy, friendship, and so much love. From your private vows to that incredible sunset light and the packed dance floor with 200+ guests, every moment reflected the people you are and the community that surrounds you. Your toasts during the reception were some of the most heartfelt that we’ve heard, with friend after friend describing how kind, generous, and genuine you two are. It became clear we weren’t just photographing a great wedding celebration. We were capturing a celebration of two truly remarkable people joining their lives together. I left your wedding day feeling grateful to have witnessed the beginning of something truly special!
With love,
Hunter (and Sarah)
