“Two’s-Day” King Family Proposal

When we checked the weather again on the morning of Devon and Sam’s King Family proposal, the outlook was… not great. In this event, we would normally talk about picking a new date. But Devon had picked this date for a reason! This was the only time in the next 400 years that the calendar would read 2/22/22… on a TUESDAY! (two’s day — anyone? anyone?!) Proposing on a date like that just HAS to be good luck! So, we began thinking of great places for Devon to propose to Samantha indoors. Luckily, King Family Vineyards was Plan A, so inside King was a simple Plan B!
As it turned out, Devon was absolutely correct about the luck surrounding the date! Not only did Samantha say yes, but the weather cleared just in time for him to propose outside! The only “hiccup” to the proposal was when their pup, Nick, escaped from Samantha’s sister and made a beeline for them just as Devon was going down on one knee! It was adorable, though, and Samantha hadn’t yet noticed what was happening! The proposal was only made sweeter by the presence of Samantha’s close friends, who were able to share in the joy of their engagement with them! After all, when you get engaged at King Family Vineyards, something bubbly just HAS to follow! 🥂
