It’s All Over

*Takes deep breath* Few. What a spring it’s been. The season of UVA graduation sessions can be a lot like having family over for the holidays. It can be such a blast and a true whirlwind of activity and fun! But it also has a tinge of stress, and by the time you drop grandma off at the airport, you’re ready for a long nap. Now extrapolate that out for a few months, and you should understand roughly how Sarah and I are feeling right now.

 

 

 

Three Crazy Months of Grad Sessions

But even without the weeklong beach respite that we just took to recoup, we wouldn’t trade our UVA graduation sessions for the world. The last two years, this season has been an true flurry of booking, shooting and editing. But Sarah and I have absolutely thrived in these seasons!

 

 

Yes, it’s a LOT of mornings leaving the house by 6:30 am, and yes it’s a LOT of photos to turn-around in a short amount of time. But there’s nothing like getting to know the unique perspectives and personalities of so many graduates from Dear Ole’ U-V-A. Plus, watching the sunrise over the Rotunda on the Lawn almost every morning literally never gets old.

Also, for the second year in the row, we had the pleasure of photographing a student from every one of UVA’s undergraduate schools, as well as the UVA School of Law! Students from the College of Arts and Sciences, as well as the schools of Engineering, Nursing, Education, Commerce, Leadership, Architecture and Law all made it out for their shoot! (Notice the tassels below).
