As we approached the Rotunda for their UVA engagement session, we could feel the impending rain in the wind. The cool chill in the air and dark clouds were the warning of what we knew was approaching – and approaching fast! But despite the impending rain, Rachel & Max decided that we should just go for it! Between the four of us, there weren’t many options for a reschedule. So we moved their session up as much as we could and kept close to cover (just in case).

As it turns out, the decision to shoot anyways was absolutely the right decision! The clouds coming across UVA’s grounds gave us the most beautiful, even light. Even the wind provided some dramatic hair movement! The only thing the weather didn’t help with was keeping the 50+ UVA students off the Lawn for some sort of big sorority reveal! And while a torrential downpour did end their session a few minutes early, Rachel & Max were ready to move quickly with us and get a TON of incredible shots!
