Wildflower Engagement Session at Pen Park in Charlottesville

Some people have a lot of luck. When we strolled around the corner at Pen Park and saw the five-foot-tall wildflowers, we knew that Megan and Chris were one lucky couple! It’s extremely difficult to time wildflowers like these, and we (accidentally) nailed it during their engagement session last week! Although, as we talked more with Megan and Chris, we found out just how lucky these two are. They were set up for Megan’s senior prom way back in high school, and hit it off so well that they continued dated long-distance all through college! Over the years, we’ve heard a lot of stories about how our couples met, but being set up as a prom date was definitely a first!
As we chatted about their story, Megan told us how she had been expecting Chris to propose on their dating anniversary this summer. But when their anniversary came and went without a ring, she had no idea when to expect it! Naturally, Chris had everything planned out so that just a few weeks later, Megan’s family would all be there for the big surprise. Fast-forward just a few months, and they’re already capturing engagement photos, planning their wedding, and preparing for a (hopeful) move to New England just months after their 2021 wedding!

We had an amazing time getting to know you two earlier this week! You guys were absolute troopers when it came to traipsing into really tall wildflowers and multiple kinds of tall (sometimes prickly) grass!
