We’ve encountered a lot of different ceremonies and traditions over our years as wedding photographers, but this was something totally new. Kadi and Dave’s officiant caught us totally by surprise by beginning their wedding ceremony by reading a portion of Kadi and Dave’s Engagement Blog! We’ve never felt so completely honored! Being a part of our couples’ day by photographing is one thing, but to also be allowed to contribute to their wedding ceremony was truly special. Kadi started crying during her First Look with Dave, and it felt as though every special moment afterwards pulled a tear from her eyes! It was as if she had been saving a tear for each special moment.

When I was photographing Kadi getting into her dress (Hunter was off prepping Dave and the guys), I mentioned how excited I was about her extremely long veil. Kadi told us that after watching our Instagram this last year, she had bought her veil just for photos! In planning for her day (and then again, with her newly-rescheduled wedding date), she had seen photos of brides with veils that we posted and knew she wanted some of her own! And we are so glad she did!

You guys are an absolute joy! The way that you two make each other smile and laugh is truly special, and we couldn’t look through your images without smiling ourselves. And the way Dave was caring for you Kadi, even in the midst of the craziness of a wedding day, told us so much about how he loves you. We were so honored to be a part of your wedding day!
