“It’s about time!” Those were the words that Unae’s Dad laughingly yelled just seconds after Unae and David had very respectfully and solemnly presented her parents with a dozen roses. He said it with a smile on his face, and the entire crowd laughed, but we know he was probably at least 10% serious. After all, Unae and David has been dating for more than a decade before they finally exchanged their vows at King Family Vineyards this past weekend. Although they both agreed that this wedding was overdue, I’m sure neither of them would have traded a day of the last ten years together.

After all, when you’ve been together with someone for a decade, you really know how to love that person well. Although Sarah and I are approaching that milestone in our own relationship, this weekend we learned even more about about loving one another well from Unae and David. Just watching them interact throughout the day showed us a comfort and familiarity that is won only with years and years of quality time together! But more than that, they just know how to have fun together. From the first look to their send-off, they were nothing but smiles and laughter, dancing and joy, simply elated to be spending this day with each other and their friends and family.

It’s hard to think of two people we’ve ever photographed who are as genuinely kind-hearted and wonderful as you two. When David arrived at King on Saturday afternoon, he literally told us, “Just let me know if you guys need anything!” No David, that’s literally our job! 😂 But throughout the entire process, from your rescheduled engagement session to navigating wedding planning during COVID-19, you two have brought nothing but joy to our days. It has been such a blessing to us to work with you two, and we hope that this isn’t goodbye, but a see-you-next-time!
