Hi, we're Hunter and Sarah, a husband-and-wife, luxury wedding photography team. We’re also educators, helping other photographers build profitable and sustainable photography businesses.

Meredith and Peter’s Tiffin Farm wedding was a beautiful celebration of faith, family, and their relationship that began here in Charlottesville. They met through their church community, and spent two years as friends before finally dating during Meredith’s final year at UVa. Peter was a year ahead, and their friendship gave them a strong foundation for everything that followed. Tiffin Farm also carries special meaning for Peter. His family moved to Charlottesville from Southern California five years ago to open the venue, and his parents even met at UVA themselves. In addition to the signifigance of the venue, their Anglican faith shaped the wedding day from beginning to end. They chose not to have a first look so they could preserve the anticipation of the ceremony. Two Anglican priests joined several friends to officiate, serve communion, and lead worship. It was a deeply meaningful ceremony, and the weather seemed to cooperate perfectly. The skies held off through the entire service before the first drops arrived just minutes after it ended.
Portraits became an adventure as the summer storm kept changing its mind. We ran in and out of the venue as the rain started, stopped, and started again. Somehow, we still found beautiful moments between the showers. A classic Ford convertible from one of Peter’s groomsmen gave us the perfect portrait prop (and later became their getaway car). Peter also traded his black tux for an ivory dinner jacket after the ceremony. It was a serious style move. But the most meaningful change was something no one could see. We had seen Meredith and Peter at Tiffin just two months earlier as guests at another wedding. Peter couldn’t help but think about the guest experience and every detail of the venue that day. But on his own wedding day, all of that disappeared. He was completely focused on Meredith from the start of the day through the send-off.
Your Tiffin Farm wedding was such a beautiful reflection of what matters most to you. Your faith was at the center of the day, surrounded by family, friends, and so much history. We loved seeing the same thoughtful care we noticed during your engagement session become even more evident on your wedding day. From brushing off the steps in UVA’s gardens so Meredith’s dress stayed clean back in April, to navigating an unpredictable thunderstorm together this August, Peter’s care for you was everywhere. And Meredith, your joy made every rainy dash between portraits completely worth it. We are so grateful you trusted us to document such a meaningful beginning to your marriage. What a gift it was to watch two longtime friends finally become husband and wife at a place that already meant so much to your family!
With love,
Sarah and Hunter
